Evergreen Data Systems 2008 Events and Speaking schedule

Whether it is a multinational corporation needing to manage and distribute an accounts payable system across four continents or a local retailer trying to make sure all its forms have a consistent look, Evergreen Data Systems’ output solutions meet all of their output needs.

How can Evergreen’s solutions improve the way you are managing and formatting your database output?  Here are eight ways solutions deliver superior functionality.  After you’ve read these brief descriptions, contact an Evergreen Representative to discuss your specific needs.

Document Formatting
Evergreen’s output solutions organize the data from most ERP systems so they are more functional. Then, formatting elements are added to make documents readable and attractive. Examples of these elements include: logos, lines data labels and page numbers.

Email

Using the email functionality offered in several Evergreen products, many documents can be emailed as part of the ERP print/output function. This is accomplished by picking up the output data stream from the application, converting and formatting it into a PDF document, then sending the PDF as an attachment to the recipient. To reduce the size of a file begin transmitted, a URL can be emailed instead.

Common examples of documents typically emailed include invoices and purchase orders. By emailing invoices, companies can get their invoices into their clients’ accounts payable systems quicker. This can provide the direct benefit of reducing the Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

Fax
In conjunction with a network fax server, Evergreen can automatically fax documents as well as print or email them. The flexibility and manageability of the Evergreen solutions allows business managers to decide which documents within a batch are sent to the fax server and transmitted.

Conditional Routing Logic.
When transmitting documents electronically, Evergreen can customize the transmission method to fit the requirements of each recipient. Using trigger elements in the data stream, Evergreen products automatically route each document in the batch using pre-selected transmission requirements for each recipient.  This means if several recipients require receiving information via a fax and others need to be emailed, everyone receives their information the way they prefer it, with no additional work for the sending company.  If no special routing method is pre-selected, the document simply prints.

Docs on line, web based repository
Docs Online is a web-based repository that stores exact replicas of documents, usually in a PDF format. Using advanced query tools, individual documents or ranges of documents can be recalled and viewed, printed, emailed or faxed.

Data Calls (ODBC and ADO)
One of the most unique features of Evergreen’s solutions is the ability to add data to documents and reports not contained in a given standard data stream.  This functionality, called a data call, is sometimes better than customizing the base report. Data calls at the output level alleviate the need to do maintenance on report customizations each time a new revision of the ERP software is loaded.

PunchOuts
Evergreen can format output to take advantage of the PunchOut capabilities of an eCommerce application. PunchOut enables buyers to rapidly access content on a suppliers' interactive eCommerce website.  This is ideal for large and/or dynamic catalogs, products with many configurations and options, and products that must be customized for each buyer.

Through PunchOut, buyers use their existing eCommerce applications to access supplier websites and find, select and configure goods for purchase. PunchOut routes quotes for items or services selected through the procurement application's established requisition and approval processes. The resulting Purchase Order is sent back to the supplier for order fulfillment. This way, buyers can access suppliers' differentiated catalog content through their own procurement applications. PunchOut streamlines the purchasing processes, while providing a cost-effective way for suppliers to maintain their own distinct content.

Multi-Language support including double byte characters
Evergreen has developed solutions in many languages including those using double byte character sets. Evergreen is able to modify its solutions so its document templates can be selected and the data applied conditionally, based on the language used in the data stream.  This is particularly helpful to multinational companies that must operate in multiple languages.
